Holoubek Professorship Created
An endowed professorship in the name of Dr. Joe Holoubek has been created at LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport. Holoubek, a retired internist and consulting cardiologist, chaired the committee leading to creation of the medical school in 1965.
Dr. Pratap Reddy, professor of medicine and chief of cardiology, will hold the Holoubek Professorship in Medicine. The professorship will also support an annual Dr. Joe E. Holoubek lecture series, presented each year by an outstanding general internal medicine physician.
The professorship comprises private donations and matching funds through the Louisiana Education Quality Support Fund.
